Alvin Greene: Undercover Brother?

I try to stay on top of politics. I really do. But the phenomenon of Alvin Greene had escaped me. If you had asked me about him before today, I would have had nothing for you. But now that he’s won, all eyes are on him. (Not unlike Tupac.) Greene seems to have appeared out of nowhere, and people in his own party are very concerned about how this guy, who didn’t seem to have his collective sh*t together, may have been planted by the local Republican party to wreck the Dems chances to win in November. Now, I really don’t go for conspiracy theories, but after witnessing Mr. Greene in action, he has single-handedly convinced me that there might be something to this controversy. Behold, the possible new senator of South Carolina as he rocks the mic with “Evil Liberal” Keith Olbermann:

WOW!!! (In Flavor Flav voice)…….No words. Just let that sink in…….I’ll wait……..You okay? Yeah. I went from “You’re sounding real 007 right now, James Clyburn” to “Oh snap!! How did the GOP pull this off?!?!?” South Carolina has open primaries, meaning that anyone can vote in the Democratic primary. Even Republicans. So let’s sum up the parts of this: the GOP is pretty desperate to get any kind of foothold on the road back to power and everything they have tried hasn’t worked so well. The GOP really needs to gain seats in November. Could it be possible for some bright penny in the GOP ranks (and don’t let the Tea Party fool you into thinking that there aren’t still smart Republicans) to come up with this insane, Cobra-type plan while the world is focusing on whoever the Tea Party/Sarah Palin is trumping up as the future of the known universe?

Hold on. I think X-Files is back on……

Taking an funny and unconventional look at the world is what makes J's ideas and stories ideal for people who sometimes feel over wrought by the world's everyday lunacy. This is tragically hilarious. I'd never heard this guy speak before. They couldn't have done any better than this? That's one point on which I have to disagree with you…there obviously are not smart Republicans, or they wouldn't have chosen this dude to be their plant. Kind of like their choice of Sarah Palin, or any of the “leaders” of their party. They are just that out of touch with the rest of America that they have no idea what “we like” when they try to diversify. But I digress. This is…tragically hilarious.

I'd say that, barring any tom foolery going on with the actual running of his “campaign”, it's on SC Democrats for not knowing their person they were voting for. “He had a 'D' next to his name” isn't the best excuse for voting this guy in.

But that's assuming that he's on the up and up. Seems like there are voting irregularities that are getting looked at. He does remind me of Mushmouth from the Fat Albert show, though. That has to count for something.

South Carolina does not have open primaries; one must declare and (and sign off) on party affiliation prior to voting.

Oh I definitely think there was some tomfoolery somewhere. Had to have been. Maybe they used those same voting machines that Florida used in the 2000 Presidential elections.

The last I had heard about it, there were counties that had more votes then people voting for Greene. There's a hearing today, so I guess well find out.

    *Shakes Head* Oh dear…..

One big circle. President Obama, Lebron James ending life in Cleveland as was once known, an unarmed Black man is murdered by a rookie white cop while handcuffed and on the ground, and Alvin Greene's answer to unemployment in his wretched state is to produce toys of himself. Who's gonna play him in the movie?
