Or was that a gunshot or three?  Is the body even cold yet?

Let me back track just a bit.  Last night, Thomas Wortham IV an off-duty police officer and veteran, was killed in an attempted robbery. Thomas’ father, who is a retired officer was able to return fire. Killing one robber and critically injuring the other.

Just another senseless loss of black life in the streets of Chi-city.  But that’s not what this entry is about.  Enterthe Good Reverend Isaac Hayes.  He’s running for Congress under the GOP banner.  Now that’s fine and dandy, I’m totally against name calling exclusively for political affiliation (calling someone a libtard -conservatard or whatever variations was never funny cut it out!) I will however call you an idiot for saying something like this:

“One lesson we learn from this incident is that his father was able to repel the attackers because he was armed.  Sadly, most law abiding citizens are not retired Chicago Police Officers and are helpless in such cases.  The current push by state and local legislators to continue to deny our constitutional right to bear arms in the wake of a U.S. Supreme Court decision will only perpetuate the victimization of citizens by urban terrorists.  It is time we stop punishing the good guys and start cracking down on the bad guys who remain armed.”

Black Moses are you kidding me?!  If this isn’t you playing the circling vulture, I don’t know what is.  Instead of a soapbox, you stand on the lifeless body of a black man.  Pushing your political rhetoric before the body is even cold.  Pathetic.

Isaac, if you haven’t noticed the thugs on the street have been and will be exercising their right to bear arms.  Law or no law, the streets will stay strapped.  89 murders by gunshots as of the end of April 2010.  I expect that number to balloon as the temperature rises.

Oh, one last thing Ike.  If you’re talking about taking guns out of the hands of “domestic terrorists” please please PLEASE don’t forget about groups like Hutaree, hiding their bigotry under the guise of patriotism (and Jesus.)

The best part is he concluded his statement with “prayers and condolences” only after this 2nd amendment spiel.  After this I am praying that you never have to taste your foot ever again, and condolences for the eventual death of your political career.
